1995 Range RoverClassic LWB, via WCXC

I just spotted this 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB for sale on Bring a Trailer. It is said to have been meticulously maintained by a collector-owner and the photos certainly bear that out. You just can’t beat the design of the the Classics. They just look so right, even after twenty years, especially in this color combo of Plymouth Blue paint over tan hides. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter V-8.

Of course, their legendary good looks and off-road prowess are only matched by their legendary need for maintenance. As one commenter on Bring a Trailer put it, “For anyone considering buying this vehicle let me offer you this option. Gather up all of the money you were going to spend (cash only, no checks) and pay me a visit in person. We will split the money 50/50. I will kick you in the crotch as hard as humanly possible and you will go back home both mentally and financially better off.”

Ouch… Still—she’s a beauty, isn’t she? Here are the rest of the details, in case you can’t resist.

The air suspension has been replaced with coil springs and Bilstein shocks. Mileage is 107,000. The truck is available in Woodland Hills, California. Bidding currently stands at $15,200 with no reserve and about 13.5 hours on the ebay auction clock at the time of writing.

Many more photos and the original ad text after the jump.

Update 02/05/2015: Well, that ended quickly. The ebay ad says the item was pulled because it was no longer available. Surely it was picked up by someone with impeccable taste, balls of steel, and a wallet to match.

1995 Range Rover Classic Long Wheel Base.

The benchmark for luxury in 1995 was the Range Rover LWB. With the vehicle extended 8 inches from its other iterations, the LWB provided rear seat passengers with the comfort synonymous with the Range Rover marquee.

This is a meticulously maintained and rust free Range Rover. The beautiful Plymouth Blue paint is in great shape, very glossy and gets compliments wherever it goes. There are some small imperfections; small chips and scratches that are only visible from 5 feet away or closer. The rear upper tailgate has been replaced with an aluminum piece to prevent any type of rust. The headlights have been replaced with updated units including replaceable bulbs, and auxiliary driving lights have been added. All other lenses are in great shape with no cracking or fading. All lamps work perfectly.

The interior of this truck is in fantastic shape, and protected by tinted windows all around. The front seats have been professionally recovered in genuine leather and look new. The interior still has the smell of new leather. Headliner has been replaced and interior wood trim professionally re-finished. Carpets are in great shape and protected by a set of genuine Range Rover rubber floor mats. The radio has been replaced with a new aftermarket unit having both blue tooth and Sirius/XM, and subwoofer and speakers have been replaced for superior sound quality. All controls function as they should including heated front seats, cruise control, and A/C.

This Range Rover is in wonderful mechanical condition. The 4.2 Liter V8 is smooth and powerful. Recently serviced and scrupulously watched over as part of an extensive private vehicle collection. Included in the sale is a full set of FSM (factory service manuals) copy organized in binders.

The problematic air suspension has been replaced with original coil springs and a full set of Bilstein shock absorbers. This truck offers superb ride quality and the piece of mind that it is riding on mechanical suspension.

This Range Rover is one of the cleanest Classics out there. It has been thoroughly overhauled by the previous owner and gone over with a fine tooth comb by its current car collector owner. Ready to be driven anywhere.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own an outstanding example of the vehicle that placed Range Rover firmly on the pinnacle of luxury and exclusivity.

Since the vehicle is listed for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. The personalized plates do not come with the vehicle.
