Scott Brady, founder Expedition Portal and publisher of the Overland Journal, headed out last month on a two-year trip he and his team are calling Expeditions 7, in which they’ll cover some of the most historically significant overland routes on each of the seven continents, including Antarctica. They recently arrived at the Arctic Ocean, on the first leg of their trip.

A little background: the group will travel in two 70-series Toyota Land Cruisers. Here’s an article about the trucks, which Scott gauges as the best overlanding platform available in the world today (though sadly not in North America.) And here’s an article about how they were prepared for the journey.

In case you’d like to follow along, the team will be posting updates on the Expedition Portal forum.
