Greg out on the dunes. All photos: Nik Schulz
WCXC is back, albeit on a very limited basis while I make a living and write a book about spending a few months living on a mile-wide British island. (More on that later.) Still, adventures are being had and it’s time to get some photos up.
A few days ago, Greg, his wife, Abbey, and I, went to the Oregon Dunes in southwestern Oregon. See the photos after the jump. It was nice camping there, if a bit noisy.

Oregon Dunes
This is the Klamath River, which we explored on the way up to Oregon.
We witnessed this massive looking fire raging along the Klamath. Look at how tiny those helicopter water buckets look!
On to the Oregon Dunes!

Our camp and improvised shade structure.
Our camp at night.
More on the shade structure.
There were more crazy fires on the way home. This was the Lodge Lightning Complex fire along 101 south of Leggett.
An odd scene.
Fire moon.
Great post. I grew up exploring the Klamath River on the CA/OR boarder. Great country. Super excited to see your post.
Thanks, Keil. It is beautiful country up there. Glad you liked the post. Thanks for the feedback.
I’m glad to see wcxc back I’ve been…..let’s say in a place away from technology and still and and I’ll return in april. I hope the club keeps going strong and gets stronger. Can’t wait to explore
Thanks, Ishmael. Nice to hear from you!
