A FortNine review (always good) of the Yamaha Ténéré 700.

Here’s a collection of videos about a bike I was excited to see released last year, Yamaha’s Super Tenere XT1200.

In this first video, a pair of Yamaha Teneres (the XT660 and the Super Tenere XT1200) take on the BMW GSs (an F800 GS and an R1200 GS Adventure). The crew from Australian Dirt Bike Magazine gives its impressions, crack jokes, and throw things on the barbie. Read the rest of this entry »

I spotted this heady mix of a motorcycle in San Francisco a while back. It looks like a vaguely Japanese heart beating in the frame of cafe-racing bobber, set up with knobbies and a long swingarm for hillclimbing.

I have no idea what it is but it’s awesome—much better than the sum of its originally far-flung parts. Hats off to whoever created this crazy thing.

Update: This bike is a highly modified Yamaha TW200.
